On September 11 2009, Senior Federal Judge (District of Minnesota) Paul A. Magnuson, who was visiting Russia within the partnership between the U.S. Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law (USRF), visited Moscow State Law Academy and had a meeting with Prof. Igor Mackevich, First Vice Rector, Vice Rector for Science. A delegation from the partner University of Montenegro visited Moscow State Law Academy on 6 - 8 November. The delegation was led by the Dean of Law Faculty Prof. dr Ranko Mujovic and included: Prof. Maja Kostic-Mandic, Aneta Spaic and Bojana Lakicevic.

The VII International Conference of Young Law Scientists ...

On April 4 – 5, 2008 the VII International Conference of Young Law Scientists took place at the Moscow State Law Academy. It was attended by representatives from all regions of Russia as well as from foreign law schools: Armenia, Belorussia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Moldova, Ukraine.

CONGRATULATIONS...

The student  team: - O. Khudokormova, E. Mzhavanadze and V. Pirumova (4th  and 5th year students from the Institute of Jurisprudence) of the Moscow State Law Academy, successfully passed the preliminary round and were selected for participation in the  Jean Pictet World Competition on International Humanitarian Law which will be held in April in Schwartzenburg (Switzerland).
The competition is carried out annually in different countries (in English, French and Spanish languages) and is rated as one of the most  representative and prestigious one on International Law. The student’s teams from all over the world take part in it.
The team was trained by Asst. Prof. N. Sokolova, the  International Law Chair.

On June 9 a group of 34 students...

On June 9 a group of 34 students from the Republic of Korea Joong Bu University, who are currently undergoing one year training programme at different Moscow Universities, visited Moscow State Law Academy to get acquainted with the activity of the Academy and the life of its students (6 Korean students study at present on the special one-year course at the Academy). The Korean students we shown the short documentary film made for the 75th anniversary of MSLA (selebrated in the end of the last year), classrooms, lecture halls, computer classes, library and reading halls. They also attended a lecture on contemporary cultural and educational life in Russia.

Sports Law Conference...

An International scientific conference on “Sports Law: Prospects of Development” was held on June 29 at the Moscow State Law Academy.
The Conference was organizes by the Labour and Social Security Law Chair of the Academy, headed by professor Kantemir Gousov, in conjunction with the Russian Olympic Committee, the Sports Law Association of Russia, Russian Football Union and other Russian sports organizations. The Conference was attended by a number of foreign and Russian specialists in Sports Law.
The main report on “Sponsorship and Olympic Games” was delivered by professor Klaus Vieweg from the Institute of Law and Technology of Friedrich-Alexander University, Nuremberg, Germany.
The Sports Law problems were covered in reports of lawyers from the Belorussian State University A.Voytik and K.Tomashevsky, assistant professor of the MSLA I. Rogachev, representatives of Government, public and sports organizations .
