: History of Academy

The Academy’s history goes back to December 1931 when the Government made a decision to widen legal higher education, and the Ministry of Justice issued Regulations on extra-mural law courses which eventually developed into All-Union Extra-Mural Law Institute in 1937. In 1990 it became Moscow Law Institute with full-time studies and in June 1993 the Institute was renamed as Moscow State Law Academy.

Visit of Madrid Complutense University delegation ...

: On July 5, 2010 Moscow State Law Academy visited delegation of Madrid Complutense University, including the Dean of Law faculty Mr. Raul Canosa Usera and vice dean Ms. Maria Amparo Grau.

From the Academy at negotiations there were present: rector – V.V. Blazheev, vice rector – E.Y. Gracheva, head of International Office – N.A. Molchanov, head of International Office section – P.I. Zhukova, director of the Institute of Jurisprudence – A.V.. Ragulina, head of the chair of International Law – K.A. Bekyashev, head of the chair of Private International Law – G.K. Dmitrieva, head of the chair of Constitutional Law of foreign countries – B.A. Strashun, lecturer of European Union Law – Y.A. Dziova.

Visit of Chinese politico-legal university delegation...

: On June 9, 2010 a delegation Chinese politico-legal university visited O.E. Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy.

During the visit there were discussed questions of mutual cooperation between the two legal schools and Cooperation agreement was signed.

The Chinese delegation invited the delegation of the Academy to arrange a return visit to Beijing at any suitable time .

Week of Russian Law in Potsdam ...

: In accordance with the plan of long standing cooperation between Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy and Potsdam University for 2010-2011 it will be organized “Week of Russian Law in Potsdam” from 10 to 15 May 2010 at Law Faculty of Potsdam University.

There will be delivered a number of lectures on different fields of Russian Law.
The delegation of the Academy will meet rector, vice rector, leading staff of Potsdam University and discuss question of mutual interest with the Administration of the Potsdam University and Law Faculty, mark prospects of future collaboration.

Visit to Gumilev EuroAsia University, Astana, Kazakhstan ...

: From 22 to 24 April 2010 there was effected a visit of the delegation of Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy to Gumilev EuroAsia University, Astana, Kazakhstan.

The visit started from the meeting with rector of the university, with administration of the Law Faculty, with professors, masters, students. There were discussed a number of questions about mutual collaboration between both universities.
In the frame of day of the Academy at Gumilev EuroAsia University there were delivered several lectures, was fixed a plan of mutual long standing cooperation.

Visit to Madrid University Complutense and Barcelona Autonomous University ...

: From 11 to 17 April 2010 there was effected a visit of the delegation of Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy to Madrid University Complutense and Barcelona Autonomous University.

It is mutually agreed to sign Cooperation Agreements between the Academy and mentioned spanish universities, business contacts with administrations of these universities were established providing exchange of students, professors, publications, mutual participation in conferences, seminars, round tables. Apart of it, in Madrid there was effected a meeting with the President of International Association of Lawyers and rectors and deans of Law Schools of Madrid universities/ At the meeting there were discussed questions of cooperation in the field of legal education and investigations of the modern International Law.

Visit to Delhi ...

: From 24 February till 1 March 2010 a delegation of Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy visited University of Delhi (India).

During the visit there was signed Memorandum for Cooperation between Kutafin Moscow State Law Academy and University of Delhi.

Week of German Law in Moscow ...

: At Moscow State Law Academy has just passed “Week of German Law in Moscow” from 24 to 27 November 2009. In the frames of this program there were delivered a number of lectures on German Law in German language by leading professors of Potsdam University.
